The film was funded by OXFAM America and was directed by George Giglio and Steve Liss and narrated by Danny Glover. The film is entitled "Forgotten Communities - Unmet Promises" and was shown in Gulfport, Mississippi.Actor/Activist Danny Glover and Raymond C. Offenhesier, president of Oxfam America, were among the featured panelists at a town hall meeting convened in Gulfport, Mississippi, Saturday night, where the film was premiered. Oxfam America and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) convened the meeting, which drew more than 450 participants. Steve Liss (www.steveliss.com) is a Time magazine photographer and his photos have appeared on the cover forty times over the years. Steve took moving photos in Mississippi and conducted candid interviews recently in the areas that were hit by Katrina. Will provided a solo piano tune entitled "Katrina" that is on his Impermanent Blue CD. "Crossing Over" - from the CD "Dream #2" was used... and Will also recorded a version of "America The Beautiful" (lyrics by Katherine Lee Bates and music by Samuel Ward). Find out more....
